AMBruno's second year of artists' book fairs started with its first visit to Leeds for the Leeds 12th International Contemporary Artists' Book Fair, University of Leeds (6 to 7 March 2009), with books by Marco Calí, Nancy Campbell & Paula Naughton, Sara Dell'Onze, Claire Deniau, Ana Efe, Francesca Galeazzi, Judy Goldhill, Jane Grisewood, Heather James, Anna Johnson, Philip Lee, Heidi Locher, Sophie Loss, Penny Matheson, Steve Perfect, Cally Trench, Alvin Watt, and Mary Yacoob. This was followed by AMBruno's first visit to the biennial Bristol Art Book Event (BABE), at the Arnolfini Gallery (30 April to 1 May 2009), with eleven books by eleven artists: Charlotte Andrew, Sara Dell'Onze, Claire Deniau, Francesca Galeazzi, Judy Goldhill, Philip Lee, Heidi Locher, Sophie Loss, Steve Perfect, Cally Trench, and Mary Yacoob. |
Later in the year, AMBruno went international, with books by twelve artists (Charlotte Andrew, Marco Calí, Sara Dell'Onze, Claire Deniau, Francesca Galeazzi, Judy Goldhill, Philip Lee, Heidi Locher, Sophie Loss, Steve Perfect, Cally Trench, and Mary Yacoob) at the New York Art Book Fair, PS1 Contemporary Art Center, Queens (2 to 4 October 2009). The New York Art Book Fair hosted over 150 international presses, booksellers, and antiquarian dealers presenting a diverse range of the very best in contemporary art publications. It was very well attended, many books were sold, many contacts were made, and it was great fun. AMBruno also presented books at Bookface on 1 November 2009 at The Rising Sun Arts Centre, 30 Silver Street, Reading. |
